Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Legends of Tomorrow / DCtv

Leonard's childhood consisted largely of abuse from a drunk father and growing up far too fast, being the one to take care of his little sister more often than their father, and between Lewis' jail-stints. He dropped out of high school and later went on to become a world-class thief with long-time friend Mick Rory at his side.
When Central City gave rise to superhero, The Flash, his criminal life was increasingly more and more endangered and Leonard sought to rid himself of the problem; in the process, he learned the Flash's true identity and struck up a deal with Barry Allen: If he didn't kill anyone in the process, Barry would let Leonard continue his heists.
In 2016, Leonard and Mick were both approached by Rip Hunter to become part of a time-traveling team dedicated to hunting down Vandal Savage to prevent his uprising and the broken future it left them with. Initially agreeing to tag along for the potential exploitation of theft and time travel, Leonard slowly warms to the cause and the people on The Waverider. The end of that journey for him came when the team set out to destroy the Oculus, the device being used by the Time Masters to manipulate time. He took Mick's place at the heart of the impending explosion and died for the good of all time.
As facetious as he is tall and stubborn as all hell on top of it, Leonard is a pretty emotionally closed off person. Snark, sarcasm, aloofness are all things he's fine with showing, but don't expect him to get serious or deep with you unless he has a very, very specific connection with you. He also won't handle you getting emotional at him well, either. Additionally, he's also very physically adverse, in emotional contexts as well. Hugs or well-meaning hands placed on an arm aren't received well.
Though he is not an easy person to get to know, when the proper time and action are taken to break into his inner circle, he can be fiercely protective of his own. He takes on a responsibility to those within his meticulously curated inner circle, and while he may still be very emotionally distant in his dealings, it's always apparent he cares for those few lucky enough to surpass the ever-present barriers.
I look forward to exploring his death/sacrifice. It won't be an easy or fast thing to happen, but finding people he could talk to about that, and work through everything there is to unpack surrounding that moment, is definitely something I hope to achieve. Beyond that, I would also like to see him making connections with people who don't know him in the context of just another in a long line of criminals.
